Silent Herder is formulated to be fed at the rate of 3 oz. per head per day for mature cattle. Do not feed additional salt or minerals. If consumption of Silent Herder is below 3 oz. per head per day contact us for methods to improve your consumption. Always supply adequate fresh water and feed.
Silent Herder should be fed at least 10 days prior to grazing pastures containing bloat producing legumes. Consumption of Silent Herder should be monitored to assure the rate of 3 oz. per head per day. Very poor results will be obtained at consumption rates below 3 oz. Mineral feeders should be distributed throughout the pastures at the rate of 1 feeder per every 5 acres. All other sources of salt or mineral should be removed. Feeders should be checked and restocked on a daily basis. When fed in accordance with these feeding instructions, this mineral may aid to help reduce losses in pastures containing bloat producing legumes.
